800/900MHz Band RFID Technology Requirements

Technical provisions for RFID equipment operating in 800/900MHz frequency bands.

800/900MHz Band Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Technology (Trial)

I. The specific use of frequency for 800/900MHz band RFID technology: 840-845MHz and 920-925MHz.

II. Radio frequency RFID technical indicators for equipment in this frequency band:

  1. Carrier frequency tolerance: 20×10⁻⁶
  2. Channel bandwidth and channel bandwidth (99% of energy): 250kHz
  3. Channel center frequency:
  4. fc(MHz) = 840.125 + N×0.25 and
  5. fc(MHz) = 920.125 + M×0.25 (N, M is an integer with value 0-19)
  6. Adjacent channel power leakage ratio: 40dB (first adjacent channel), 60dB (second adjacent channel)
  7. Transmit power:
  8. - 840.50-844.5MHz, 920.50-924.5MHz: 2W (erp)
  9. - 840-845MHz, 920-925MHz: 100mW (erp)
  10. Working model for frequency hopping spread spectrum mode, maximum dwell time per frequency hopping channel 2 seconds
  11. Spurious emission limits (outside the scope of carrier frequency ±1MHz):
  12. - Antenna port:
  13. - 30MHz-1GHz: -36dBm/100kHz
  14. - 1-12.75GHz: -30dBm/1MHz
  15. - Cabinet radiation:
  16. - 30MHz-1GHz: -36dBm/100kHz (eirp)
  17. - 1-12.75GHz: -30dBm/1MHz (eirp)
  18. Power ports and telecommunication ports conducted disturbance emission should meet national standard GB9254-1998 Class B limits
  19. Under manufacturer's operating voltage and extreme temperature conditions, transmit power and frequency tolerance shall meet corresponding technical indicators

III. Radio transmitting equipment in this band using RFID technology shall be managed as micro-power (short distance) radio equipment. Equipment put into use shall have Radio Transmission Equipment Type Approval Certificate issued by the Ministry of Information Industry.
